The money raised through the fundraiser will go toward taking care of and feeding the various animals on the Cedar Hill campus.

After months of being staying at home, many people would love to have a weekend getaway right now.

One local animal sanctuary is hoping the need will help them raise money.

Wtvas chelsea brown was in lowndes county with how you can meet lions tigers and more.

Cedar hill animal sanctuary is closed to the public regularly.

For one lucky person you can win a weekend stay here and even get to tour the sanctuary.

I spoke with a representative about what the ticket money goes too.

Michelle roberts is the media development manager at the sanctuary.

Cedar hill animal sanctuary opened 30 years ago.

They now have over a dozen big cats along with dogs, horses, and pigs when i first arrived, the cats had just been fed..

So it was nap time for them.

After a while two sibbling tigers started playing with one another.

Nats with all of these animals it takes thousands of dollars a month to feed them.

"this is usually just something to give us a good push into the new year, because out donations slow down, but this year has just been different."

The winner of the drawing will win a weekend stay at the sanctuary for four people.

Nats the lions came from another sanctuary which recently shut down.

Most of the big cats were seized from previous owners.

"mainly the big cats were illegally owned by people who should never have had big cats they kept them in their backyard in a barn" nats tag the last day to buy tickets is january 8th at 11:59pm.

The drawing will take place january 11th.
