Walmart Will Now Pick up Returns From Your Home for Free.

On Dec.

21, the retail giant announced a new service in partnership with FedEx.

"Carrier Pickup by FedEx" allows customers to return items by visiting Walmart's website or app, scheduling a pickup date and printing a label.

FedEx will then come pick it up from you.

For customers who don't have the ability to print a label, they can drop off returns at any FedEx Office location by using a QR code, similarly to a service offered by Amazon and UPS.

"Carrier Pickup by FedEx" is Walmart's latest attempt to best its largest rival, Amazon.

Currently, Amazon allows packages without a box or label to be returned at select Whole Foods stores, Kohl's and UPS stores/lockers.

Amazon also allows some items to be picked up at home by UPS, but for a fee.

FedEx's recent partnership with Happy Returns allows returns to be made in person without a box or label from select retailers
