Driver going wrong way on I-65 causes fatal crash near Lebanon

Lebanon police are investigating a fatal crash on I-65 that claimed the life of a Greenfield woman Monday evening.

It happened around 7 p.m.

Monday night.

Police received reports of a suv driving the wrong way on i-65 north in boone county when they learned of the head-on crash.

The preliminary investigation showed the suv was driven by 83-year-old bill rainwater of indianapolis.

He was traveling south in the northbound lanes.

That's when his vehicle hit another car head-on.

The driver of the other car, 22-year-old nicole watson of lebanon, was pronounced dead at the scene.
