Early morning shooting at The Summit at Ridgewood apartments leaves man dead
A man was shot in the head early Wednesday morning at Summit at Ridgewood Apartments.
He died in the hospital a few hours later.
This is the third shooting to occur at the apartment complex in the past four months, leaving some residents questioning their safety.

3 standup: i'm at the summit at ridgewood apartments where a man was shot early this morning.
Fort wayne police say they responded after receiving a call about multiple gunshots in the area.resident ashley karn woke up early this morning to loud bangs.karn "then i jolted awake and looked at the window and two or three minutes later there were just cops everywhere."

Sofia rosales-scatena says officers arrived at the summit at ridgewood apartments at 4 a.m.scatena "when they arrived they did find someone suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
He was taken to a local hospital where he died early this morning."karn has been living here for three years and says this has become commonplace.karn ?laughing?
"it's just another day basically because it happened like a month ago too."
This is the third shooting at the complex in the past four months.
Summit at ridgewood declined to comment when about the shooting.
Rosales-scatena says police cannot confirm if the shootings are connected.
Scatena "violence happens all over the city; sometimes it's a little more concentrated in certain areas."
Residents like karn however, feel enough isn't being done to prevent violence from entering their neighborhood in recent months.
Karn "maybe background checks, maybe i'm not sure honestly.
I felt safe here for the longest time until recently."
