As a result, Cardi has become the first artist in history to win in that category twice at the AMAs.

The first time she won was in 2018 with her song, "Bodak Yellow.".

Though Cardi was not available to accept her award, she took to Twitter to thank her fans.

She also shared an audio message with the tweet.

I wish I would've known that I was going to get an AMAs or something, I wouldn't have went to the dentist and f----- with my teeth.
