Meet Paw-blo Picasso, the mini labradoodle that PAINTS abstract art

Meet Paw-blo Picasso, the mini labradoodle that PAINTS abstract art. Little Popely creates the masterpieces by dabbing away at the canvas with a brush held in her jaws. Owner Himali Sondhi taught the pooch how to paint and claimed that Popely picked up the skill in just 30 minutes. Himali, 30, a dog trainer based in Melbourne, Australia, said."I like to break behaviors down into nice simple steps."Painting is two things: holding an item and moving towards a target."First, I taught her how to hold her toys and start moving with me while holding them."Then, I started putting my hand on the canvas and got her to touch it.

After this, I removed my hand and she touched the canvas."All in all, she probably learned the painting skill in about 30 minutes total." Popely can be seen excitedly splodging red, yellow and green paint onto a canvas under Himali's supervision in a video. While Popely is just a pet and not a show dog, Himali's skills as a professional dog trainer, with her company Puppy Professor, have certainly come in handy when raising the pup. Himali added: "Popely's a pet dog.

She doesn't do that much work, but sometimes she helps me train dogs with activity issues. "Still, 99% of the time, she's just chilling at home." Popely has so far created just two paintings but Himali expects the canine's artistic skills will only improve with more practise. "The painting in the video is only her second painting," Himali said. "She's gotten better as she goes on."
