Preparations underway for DDC elections in J-K's Rajouri

The preparations are underway in Rajouri for upcoming District Development Council (DDC) elections, which will be conducted in eight phases between November 28 and December 19.

The election candidates went on to meet locals ahead of the voting.

The voting will be held in Rajouri on November 28.

Block Development Council (BDC) Chairman of Block Kotranka, Javed Iqbal Choudhary, called the elections, a festival of demoracy and said, "This is a festival of democracy for us.

People are excited about the election, power is directly going to their hands.

Earlier, there used to be a constituency with an MLA with 4-6 people with him, they used to take control of votes.

Now people are seeing this as a new hope."
