Southwest High, Elam Alexander campus learns from home after positive for COVID-19 case

As more Bibb County School District students head back to class for in person learning Monday, that’s not the case for two schools due to COVID-19

The red cross and community members are assisting the family this evening.

As more bibb county school district students head back to class for in-person learning today... that's not the case at one campus ... due to covid-19.

Students at southwest high and students at the elam alexander campus at southwest... will continue to learn from home... after a staff member tested positive for covid-19.

According to keith simmons with the bibb county school district... crews are deep cleaning the high school today and tomorrow.

Simmons says the change only affects students from southwest high.

We still will conduct our daily disinfectant and cleaning of each of the facilities.

Our custodian crews and other 30 schools will make sure we are wiping down high traffic areas.

We are cleaning hard surfaces.

We will take our battery operated misting disinfecting c1 3 b13 machines and disinfect each school prior to leaving each evening simmons says... the staff member is
