On our Diwali special episode of Never Say Die, we are proud to have Major General Sunil Razdan who, in 1994, at the peak of militancy in Kashmir, risked his life to rescue women kidnapped as sex-slaves.

In the daring operation he lost movement below the waist for life.

On Diwali day in 1994, Major General's wife broke down when she learnt her husband would be wheelchair bound.

But he made her a promise: to regain his movement - and he did.

He tells us his remarkable story of resilience, which is not without chronic problems. Pollution, which spikes during Diwali, weather change, all take a toll on our injured veteran soldiers.
