To see how many local and area programs making state runs this year..

There is tons of talent and hard-working athletes across this area..

We've seen state tennis, state golf, state softball, cross country appearances..

And maryville tries to cap their fantastic season with a title tomorrow..

While, the volleyball program down in lawson, looks to make its own history..

In this unusual fall season... <<banners fill the wall in the school gym...cases flooded with trophies hard-work across several programs...plaques hang for everyone to see..and there's one program looking to add some presitgious hardware...(sot, coach: "you want to get up on that wall in the conference, district and so we're going to be on the wall forever and the girls are shooting for that.")the cardinals volleyball team find themselves in unchartered waters this weekend...at the class 2 volleyball final 4... (sot, coach: "they just love to play volleyball and they love to compete, so they're just like let's thankful to have a season and that's right mindset to go after it every match.")despite covid-19 issues in the summer and the uncertainty of this team pulled together..knowing they something historic... summer, we knew that something was special and the people came back from injuries and came back better than ever.") just how special is this team..

21-0...kci champions..district champions...entering the final four...(sot, smith: "we've all grown up together.")saturday night...these cardinals high as state champions for the first time in program history..>> and in the class 2 state semifinals tomorrow night at 7..
