Trouble mounts for actor Kangana Ranaut as Lyricist Javed Akhtar has filed a criminal complaint against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for making defamatory statements against him on various news channels.

The complaint has been filed before the Metropolitan Magistrate at Andheri, Mumbai.

The complaint has been filed after Kangana Ranaut, in an interview to a news channel, had allegedly tarnished Javed Akhtar's reputation.

Javed Akhtar has asked for proceedings against Kangana Ranaut on the basis that the video interview has that has been viewed by lakhs of people on various online platforms. The veteran lyricist has claimed that Kangana Ranaut dragged his name unnecessarily in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
