Army Chief Gen Naravane in Nepal; focus on improving ties after map row

Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane, on Nepal’s visit, said it will strengthen the bonds of the two armies.

Naravane will be on a three-day visit to Nepal starting November 4.

The Indian Army chief’s visit is expected to ease tensions between India and Nepal after Kathmandu released a new political map, earlier this year.

Nepal’s new political map included territories of Lipulekh, Kalapani & Limipyadhura.

New Delhi had put on hold talks with Nepal after the new political map was released by Kathmandu.
