COVID-19: India's testing capacity currently increased to more than 10.65 crore

As per the data released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India on October 30 reported single-day spike of 48,648 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.

563 deaths in the same period, pushing the COVID-19 toll in the country to 1,21,090.

India's confirmed cases of coronavirus stand at 80,88,851 which include 5,94,386 active infections after a decrease of 9,301 in last 24 hours.

As per Ministry of Health, India has exponentially scaled up its testing capacity from one in January to more than 10.65 crore at present.

The very high testing has resulted in the continuously falling positivity rate.

It is 7.54% presently.

More than 73,73,375 people have recovered from the virus with 57,386 new discharges in last 24 hours.

According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 11,64,648 samples were tested on October 28.

Cumulative samples tested for COVID-19 till October 28 are 10,77,28,088.
