Covid-19: India's Coronavirus tally soars past 80 lakh mark with over 49,000 single-day jump

As India continues to battle the Coronavirus Pandemic, the over all tally soared past 80 Lakh mark with a jump of 49,881 new COVID-19 infections in 24 hours.

The country also reported 517 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The overall Covid related fatalities now stand at 1,20,527.

While the recoveries have surged to 73.15 lakh pushing the national recovery rate to 90.99 per cent.

The COVID-19 case fatality rate has further declined to 1.49 per cent.

Meanwhile Delhi on Wednesday reported over 5,000 COVID-19 cases in a day, for the first time since the coronavirus struck the country.

The national capital has been logging over 4,000 cases daily for the last few days.
