A rescue video going viral on social media shows young men rescuing a new born baby after a heavy downpur in Bengaluru that had filled the streets with water almost up to neck level.

The video is claimed to be of Hosakerehalli area on Bengaluru's outskirts.

Many videos of the downpour show the extent to which normal life was disrupted on Friday.

The city will continue to receive rains today.
