Gila monster rescued at Valley of Fire
The valley of fire state park posted on its social media that a Gila monster was rescued from inside The mouse's tank.
Mouse’s Tank is a natural basin in the rock where water collects after each rainfall.
The basin is 15 feet deep and normally full of water.
However, with no rain for almost 6 months, it has dried up.
Visitors to the park notified park rangers about the creature and they were able to use a ladder to rescue it.
Just a reminder don't pick up a Gila monster if you see one because they are venomous.
