CM Manohar Lal Khattar claims Haryana farmers don't burn their stubble

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on October 12 claimed that farmers in the state don't burn their stubble because the straw has become a matter of profit for them.

Khattar said, "Stubble has become a matter of profit for farmers in Haryana.

The state government is purchasing it at a rate of Rs 50 per quintal from the farmers for requirements like to make cardboards or to be used in energy production.

Farmers in Haryana are quiet aware and they don't burn the stubble."
