A dog that fell into a 70-foot-deep well had to be rescued by fire department officials in the south Indian of state of Tamil Nadu on September 29.

A dog that fell into a 70-foot-deep well had to be rescued by fire department officials in the south Indian of state of Tamil Nadu on September 29.

The incident took place in the town of Pappireddipatti, Dharmapuri district, and shows firefighters climbing down into the well, using thick ropes to rescue the dog.

According to local reports, the dog had accidentally fallen into the well.

Residents spotted the dog stranded inside the well and alerted the Pappireddipatti fire department officials.

A team of fire officials arrived at the spot and completed the rescued mission within 20 minutes.
