Protesters chanted outside the Allen County Courthouse yet again Saturday afternoon, but this time demanding Allen County Sheriff David Gladieux step down.

A call for action.

Protesters at the allen county courthouse this afternoon... calling for the resignation of allen county sheriff david gladieux.fox 55' s mallory beard met with protesters to see where they stand with law enforcemnt after protests have now carried on since the summer.

3 ?nats?this afternoon protesters chanted outside the allen county courthouse - demanding sheriff david gladieux step down.

"not only did he not uphold the law.

He tried to abuse his power and his authority and his position to access a place that he shouldn't have while he was intoxicated under the name of sheriff."

The county this month settled with a teen volunteer who alleged the off duty sheriff shoved him to the ground at the three rivers festival last year.gladieux issued an apology last week and said he'd pay the $55,000 settlement back to the county ...but protesters say it's too little too late.lisa williams says she hasn't lost faith in all officers, but she feels otherwise for gladieux.

Lisa williams//protester "to them i give kudos and congratulate them on their choice to serve the city.

However...gladieux cannot go forth because it's such a double standard that i don't believe anybody could accept it at this point."

And her daughter isabella says gladieux's incident makes her think twice about being around officers.

I get that heartbeat in my ear and i'm like what is going on, what is going on in my city right now?"

Williams says racism is a major factor for the problems between law enforcement and black civilians.

She believes gladieux would have faced more of an outcry if he were black.

Lisa williams//protester "officers are very good men that want to serve the community but unfortunately racism has been going on for so long and has permeated our society."

Schoch says law enforcement officers have to be held accountable for their wrongdoings.
