Kristian, how are employees feeling with the constant change in guidelines?

One worker told me it's hard to keep up with all of it, but right now she's just happy to be back at work.

Nail technician kim brooks was out of the salon for many weeks after the state shut them down again when butte county landed in the state's strictest coronavirus tier.

She tells action news now during that time - she was having to figure out how to make some extra income to pay her bills while also having to help her daughter navigate through online classes.

Brooks says being able to provide these services helps her and her clients get through these stressful times.

Being able to take the self- care for ourselves is a mental thing, for women to get their hair done, nails done, feeling like themselves, we get to the point where we always lose our sanity and being able to get those services done helps us a lot with that.

She tells action news now that she enjoys being able to connect with her clients.

She says sharing what they are going through during the pandemic helps bring them closer.

Business at lily's nails has been steady so far and they are expecting an influx in customers soon with the new season.

Brooks says they are taking all of the proper precautions and they are hoping they won't have to face another shut down.
