40 YEARS AGO.OFFICERS WERE ABLE TO USE DNAEVIDENCE TO FIND LEONARD NASH.OFFICERS IN FONTANA, CALIFORNIASAY WHEN THE VICTIM, MICHELLEJONES, WAS FOUND MURDERED INJULY OF 1980--EVIDENCE WASCOLLECTED.BUT IT WASN'T PROCESSED BECAUSEOF A LACK OF TECHNOLOGY.THIS YEAR - D-N-A WAS SENT TO ALAB, BUT THERE WERE NO POSITIVEMATCHES.FOLLOW-UP INTERVIEWS WITH HERFAMILY LED OFFICERS TO NASH.IN JUNE - INVESTIGATORS FOUNDHIM IN LAS VEGAS, AND COLLECTEDHIS DISCARDED D-N-A.IT WAS A MATCH.NASH IS NOW WAITING TO BEEXTRADITED TO CALIFORNIA.THER
