Why, Exactly, Were Bags Of US Mail Dumped In A Beauty Salon's Parking Lot?

In a mysterious incident last week, bags of mail were dumped out of a Budget rental truck in a Glendale, California, parking lot.

Surveillance footage shows the driver pulling into the parking lot behind the 7Q Spa Laser & Aesthetics salon, dumping the bags, and driving off.

It was completely unusual.

It's suspicious.

You start thinking, 'OK, something is going on,' because no one has access to all those boxes and packages.

7Q owner Lilia Serobian The bags were filled with hundreds of unopened envelopes and packages from the US Postal Service.

Omar Gonzalez, the Western Regional Coordinator for the American Postal Workers Union, says the bags were dumped by a contractor, not a US postal worker.

Gonzalez says the supervisor and manager of the Glendale post office said the union should not speak about the matter.
