COVID fear missing as people throng Chennai ground for Sunday cricket

When COVID-19 pandemic is haunting people of the world even in their dreams, people in Chennai were seen in 'no COVID world'.

On September 06, people were seen in large gatherings, especially teenagers, playing cricket in Thyagaraya Nagar area.

It seems like, words like wearing masks and maintaining social distancing is alien-ish to the people who thronged the park on Sunday.

There are total of 4,57,697 COVID-19 cases in the state including 51,583 active cases and 7,748 deaths, as per the latest state health department's bulletin.
