Thousands of women march in Belarus calling for Lukashenko to resign
Thousands of women took to the streets of Minsk in Belarus on Saturday (August 29th) to call on President Lukashenko to resign in the wake of this month's disputed election.
Wrapped in the red-and-white flags which have become an opposition symbol, the protesters sang, held flowers and chanted slogans calling for an end to his 26-year, authoritarian rule.
