Tusks recovered in Shivamogga, 3 smugglers arrested

Nine tusks were recovered by Police in Shivamogga on August 29.

Three persons were arrested in the alleged case of smuggling tusks.

The tusks are believed to be of hippopotamus.

Forest officials will conduct tests to confirm the information.

Hippo tusks are considered as luxurious items in black market.
