Horse rider uses fast-food drive-thru in the Philippines

A fast-food lover ordered his lunch by using a drive-thru - on his pet horse.

Jackson So had just finished an endurance horse race with friends in Baguio City when they all decided to grab lunch at the popular chicken restaurant on August 14.

Their horseback-riding team, called Magnificent Seven, joined the International Endurance Race which requires them to ride 1,000km within a month to finish.

The veteran riders were able to finish the race in just 14 days so they decided to have a little party by eating a fast-food meal together.

Jackson said: "I did not expect that this simple thing would make people so curious.

Everyone was looking at us when we entered the car park to use the drive-thru." The rider added that his five-year-old horse, named Pharaoh, is his lucky charm so he always rides with it together with his friends.

Meanwhile, the amazed staff recorded the troop on video as they ordered food while riding at the back of their horses.

One of the fast food outlet staff, Mhel Naelgas, said: "At that time I was exhausted after long hours of work but when I saw the customer on the drive-thru riding a horse it cheered me up.

I felt much happier when I saw them.
