Tehama County public health announcing it will be put on the state watch list if it’s coronavirus data doesn't improve in the next 48 hours.

Tehama county received a warning from the california department of public health that if nothing improves in two days, the county would be placed on the state's watchlist.

Action news now reporter esteban reynoso went to tehama county to gather reaction from people there.

Ll: businesses like fit republic right behind me in red bluff may have to close their doors or move operation outside come sunday if the state sees no improvement in the number of cases.

Vo: barber shops, hair salons, places of worship, shopping malls and many others must close indoor operation if the county is placed on the state's watchlist come sunday.

People here were shocked but understand what needs to happen.

Sot: "i feel like we gotta do what we gotta do.

I feel bad for the small business owners.

To completely shut down it's taking its toll on the businesses."

Sot: ricky arthur - "it could've been avoided like i said if people just took precaution and used common sense.

Then we can get out of this a lot quicker.

If everybody does there part we should get out of this."

Vo: some businesses i visited today had plans approved for reopening their doors, but now, they may have to come up with new plans.

Ll: others i spoke with off camera think the county is overreacting and other issues should be addressed first.
