Military son surprises NYPD dad after Afghanistan tour

An officer home from a tour of duty in Afghanistan gave his police officer dad in the NYPD 52 Precinct a surprise visit which was shared with colleagues via Facebook.Officer Murphy from the NYPD 43 precinct had returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan with the Air National Guard, and the first job was a surprise visit to his dad, Sgt Murphy.He arrived term early in the day, and drove into the police compound in a military vehicle with American flag and siren blaring.Sgt Murphy had been working on patrol and had no idea his son was coming to make the surprise visit.He was caught by surprise and the 2 were clapped and cheered by police officer colleagues as they greeted each other after officer Murphy's stint in Afghanistan.
