Residents wade through flooded roads in Delhi, India

Residents battle through flooded roads in Delhi, India, on August 19 after the area was hit with severe monsoon rain.

Footage is from the city of Gurugram where the deluge forced many to wade through the knee-deep dirty flood water which also breached their homes.

Across India, the death toll from the annual monsoons this year has risen to more than 1,300 with millions displaced from damaged homes.
