Youth Congress protests outside Prakash Javadekar's residence over EIA draft 2020
Indian Youth Congress staged a protest outside residence of Union Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change Minister, Prakash Javadekar, against the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) draft 2020.
The Environment Ministry's deadline for public feedback on the draft EIA 2020 notification ended on August 11.
The ministry has received nearly 17 lakh public comments.
Several environmental groups, organisations and individuals have opposed the draft EIA notification.
The draft has also become an issue of political debate.
