Point during today's game i thought to myself whoever wins this game will be your state champion... and th newman cathlic knights showed everyone they have that potential grinding out a nine innning victory.

Let's take a look at the highlights.xxx we'll start in the first inning... jaxon bunkers goes down on the bunt attempt but the leader runner steals home but doesn't get past max burt.

Sam kratz was on fire today... ends the inning with one of his 12 strikeouts.

It would take extras to decide this one... top of the ninth..kratz with the bunt and the knights have a runner on.

This was the difference maker... nash holmgaard with a nice hit into the centerfield gap.... that allows burt to round third and plate the knights first run of the game.

There's so many high school teams that aren't lucky enough to get to the state tournament and you know i think sometimes people think okay newman catholic back in the state championship but it's the stuff we do behind the scenes, the hard work that we put in that's what gets us back here every year.

It's a great thing when we all have confidence in each other ?
