Tennessee's Tax Free holiday begins on Friday.

Tax Free Holiday

Tax free holiday starts tomorrow and will run until sunday.

This year the spending threshold has been doubled.

Consumers can purchase electronic items up to 3,000 dollars and school items, including clothes, up to 200 dollars without sale tax.

Online purchases are included.

Masks and hand sanitizer are not tax free.

"we know that a lot of people have been struggling.

The pandemic has put a lot of financial stress on families.

So, this is an opportunity for everyone to go out and save money and help support tennessee businesses that really need the help right now."

There will be a second tax free holiday this year for restaurants.

People can enjoy no tax on dine-in and take-out options, including alcohol from august 7th
