Task force to investigate mandate compliance

Andrew Cuomo said the state police will lead a task force to ensure mandates are enforced at establishments across New York.

The next year.

The state police will lead a task force with the state liquor authority to investigate and shut down establishements not complying with safety standards.

The governor says the enforcement is going to increase dramatically.... but that it can't be done without the support of local police.

State senator joe griffo is calling on the state liquor authority to rescind updated guidelines pertaining to what food bars may serve with alcohol.

--for example....chips don't count, according to the state.

Griffo says the liquor authority should not be acting as a food czar.
