People were seen banging utensils to create a din and drive the locusts away.
Meanwhile, experts have warned of fresh invasions from Somalia.
6 'at risk' states, including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, Haryana, and Rajasthan, are on alert.
The United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organisation has warned of 'serious risk' to India's farm sector from the insects.
