Cow rescued by firefighters after being trapped in storm drain for 2 hours in southern India

A wandering cow fell into an open storm drain in Managiri, Tamil Nadu and was trapped for two hours before being rescued by firefighters.

Footage of the rescue operation on June 26 shows the cow in the storm drain, on its side before being turned upright.

Eventually, a series of ropes are attached to the animal and it is pulled from the deep drain after the long ordeal.

Later the cow was handed over to the owner after a small health check-up by the veterinarian team.

Locals in area hailed the work of fire and rescue team and conveyed their thanks also.
