American Airlines Scraps Social Distancing, Books Full Planes The airline will begin booking flights to full capacity on July 1.

A spokesman for the airline touted "cleaning initiatives" implemented since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

In April, American Airlines began holding half of all middle seats in economy class.

They will be allowed to switch their reservation at no cost.
