The Scenic City announces a new chapter for Blue Star Mothers supporting families of active military

This morning i delighted to introduce you to an organizatio that is near and dear to my heart and a new chapter right here in chattanooga when talkin about the scenic city blue star mothers chapter is all the information is president connie brooks good morning connie good morning just i guess that i'm very excited about this.

We had you on several months ago just talking in general about the blue star mothers group and i a so excited that there's finally a home for this organization chattanooga alliance okay for your journey for me.

I was traveling to and from tweet water at several times a month to participate in that chapter.

So the fact that i can be right here at home.

These more time to meet and work on it and explain to everyone if not an earlier one and a new star mother, a blue star mother is a mom and grandmother foster mother any mom raised ... a child currently in the military ... or has been honorably discharged, very important, and at that as well and you talk through those in the mother is at mother, grandmother and i does only individuals who can b involved in this chap terror or is it open to a few other situations as well.

Open to and just about everybody.

The difference is only the mom can join as a member everybody else your cell gingerly as an associate member is open to in fact, all the dads of the mounds that currently are in our associate member in the rain and that i'm interested to turn minor went home as to why on th vss, a member of this group is seen.

I have a younger brother who is not actively serving in the military right now cell big reason why is important to me and doesn't have a family and that's actually serving in the face want to volunteer this one be part of this they still respect and love our military personnel can they still be an associate member absolutely ... okay the difference between a member and is is member is the members actually take use once year and they are the only ones allowed to a low on anything being decided on now.

The associate members can volunteer they can be involved in the discussion, but they just camp out when i think of volunteering to support everything that is why we all want to be a part of this talk there where you're gonna be meeting how often your enemy meeting and all of that i the town we meet once a month.

It'll be the first tuesday of every month and we meet at the vfw on the highway.

So when you go in, you'll go up stairs, it above the bar area and that's where we ... perfect innominate i mentioned the service aspect of the mass in the poor services.

The mission of this organization and what we are able to do in our community and those abroad as well.

Well the mission is to support our active military and our veterans.

That of course each other.

His military mom or military family members, people don't realize how different building is to be a family member of his person who serves in the military ... you're out deployment is not easy ... no matter how may times they've been it's not easy and you need somebody who can support you in and walking through it and talk you through it.

But the best thing that we can do in the community is joan a items that they need ... my monetary donations are welcome as well because the cost is 18 dollars to send one care package overseas ... so we we do fundraising a will be doing ... rendering to raise the money to send packages will also be adding out notices that were receiving donations and will pu a list on her face page.

We forget how different a life they are living when they are gathering overseas, or even answering on a base here locall as well connie hated we are running out of time, remind us again.
