Musk Oxen Putting Their Heads Together

Occurred on June 21, 2020 / Deering, Alaska, USA Info from Licensor: My family went on a Father's Day picnic 3 miles from our home in Deering Alaska.

On our way down, we witnessed these two musk ox dueling for alpha male of the herd.

They are battling to be the alpha male and mating rights.

The musk ox on the right eventually lost the battle and moved on from the herd.

Sad story but the way of life.
