CDC Expands List of Medical Conditions Making People High Risk For Severe COVID-19

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expanded the list of medical conditions making people more vulnerable to severe COVID-19.

According to Gizmodo, they added people with diabetes, kidney disease and sickle cell.

In the past, the CDC focused on older adults as people at more risk but now are including underlying health conditions.

Other conditions with mixed evidence include pregnancy, asthma, hypertension and drug use suppressing the immune system.

These conditions have been mentioned in the past but now the CDC connected these conditions with their level of evidence.
