Firefighters rescue deer from 24-metre-deep well in southern India

A deer that fell into an 80-foot-deep (24.38 metres) well was rescued by firefighters in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The incident took place in Parigam village of Kallakurichi district on June 20.

The video shows, the firefighters getting into the well and rescuing the deer using thick ropes.

According to the reports, the villagers on noticing the struggling deer informed the firefighters, who rushed to the spot and carried out the rescue operation.

The deer was later released into the forest range by firefighters with the help of the forest officials.
