Daniel Radcliffe Says 'Transgender Women Are Women'

Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter, said “transgender women are women.” The comment comes after controversy with author J.K.

Rowling criticized the phrase “people who menstruate.” Radcliffe said: “Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people.” “We need to do more to support transgender and nonbinary people, not invalidate their identities, and not cause further harm.” According to Reuters, he then apologized for any pain caused by Rowling’s comments.
