SC Police Killed Black Man Who Allegedly Shot At Them While Handcuffed
South Carolina state officials say a deadly incident began when Ariane McCree was caught shoplifting at a Walmart on November 23rd, 2020.
Newser reports South Carolina police this week released a video of an officer shooting McCree, who was handcuffed at the time.
Police said the shooting was justified.
The grainy bodycam video, which lacks audio, shows the officer shooting 28-year-old Ariane McCree in a parking lot in Chester, SC.
McCree is accused of aiming a gun at officers while handcuffed.
However, a state report found that officers fired at least two dozen times.
McCree's weapon hadn't been fired once.
