Life in utica, one team was out in full force tonight hosting a candlelight vigil.
Team surviving amy hosted on stephens drive in north utica.
Cancer suvivior amy pastorella tells us her team decided to create their own bags of luminary candles to have a ceremony.
The purpose is to honor and remember those who battled cancer.
"relay for life is such an amazing cause.
It brings awareness, and education and funds to the american cancer society to raise money for cancer to stop this devastating disease, and to make sure everybody is cared for, celebrated, and remembered if you had cancer."
And at tonight's ceremony was a boot drive, and a food drive.
Proceeds from the boot drive will go to the american cancer society and non-perishable food collected will be donated to a local food bank.
