Trey Holladay, the Athens City Schools superintendent, is now on paid leave following an FBI raid at his home, the subject of which remains undisclosed.

New information -- the athens city schools superintendent is on paid administrative leave tonight.

Doctor trey holladay asked the school board to place him on leave- just days after his home was raided by the f- b-i.

Waay 31's sydney martin was in athens today and worked to learn more about the f-b-i's visit.

Syd, "no one here in athens wanted to talk about the law enforcement operation at holladay's home on monday..

And it's unclear why dr trey holladay asked to go on administrative leave.

" the athens city school board members declined to comment on what is happening with holladay.

But in a unanimous vote thursdsay night the board agreed to let him go on paid administrative leave.

It's unclear if f-b-i agents visit to his house has to do with the district.

And the f-b-i won't comment on it's visit besides confirming it was a law enforcement action.

Athen city school parents i talked to today didn't want to comment about the situation because they told me they didn't have enough information about what was going on.

Holladay in a statement said no charges have been filed against him and he's proud to be the superintendent of the district.
