Could take 25-28 days to control Oil India gas well fire: Assam CM

Briefing about the fire situation at the gas well of Oil India Ltd in Tinsukia district, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on June 10 informed that it would take around 25-28 days to control the situation and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured him of full assistance.

"The fire has now been confined to an area of 50 mtrs.

Experts believe that they need around 25-28 days to control the situation.

We have successfully evacuated people from that area.

PM Modi has assured full assistance to the state," said Sonowal.
