Shopkeepers remain low-spirited as malls reopen to fewer footfalls amid COVID-19

After more than two months, malls have reopened across the country from June 08 onwards.

Shopkeepers, however, are still facing problems since the footfall is below expected amid COVID-19.

While speaking to ANI, a shopkeeper in Jaipur said, "Footfall is very low right now as some people are not aware of the relaxations and some are reluctant in coming out due to COVID-19.""60% people are not coming.

Once the customers are start coming footfall will increase slowly," a shopkeeper in Patna said to ANI.

However, guidelines have been issued to be followed in malls amid outbreak.

Managements have made elaborate arrangements to restrict spread of coronavirus.
