Spike Lee Releases Short Film '3 Brothers' Inspired By George Floyd Murder

Spike Lee Releases Short Film '3 Brothers' Inspired By George Floyd Murder In the 95-second feature, the director compares the deaths of Floyd and Eric Garner to a scene from his 1989 film, 'Do the Right Thing.'

In 'Do the Right Thing,' the character Radio Raheem is murdered by police.

The short film begins with the line, "Will history stop repeating itself?" It then pieces together clips of Floyd and Garner's arrests and deaths, along with Raheem's.

Floyd's murder in Minnesota has been attributed to police officer Derek Chauvin placing a knee on his neck.

In a similar situation, Garner was killed during a 2014 arrest in N.Y.C.
