Seagull waddles around with ARROW sticking through its body

This bizarre footage shows a seagull waddling around a KFC car park - with a 20 inch long arrow sticking through its body.

The distressed seabird can be seen with a large bolt piercing through its breast and coming out of its backside.

It is thought the animal had been shot with a crossbow.

Despite the severity of its injury the gull was able to walk around searching for food and even take flight.

The footage was captured on Wednesday (May 27) in Blackpool, Lancs., by James Squire, who was visiting a KFC drive thru.

He said: "I was in my car when I looked out my window to see this bird with an arrow sticking right through it's body.

"I couldn't believe it, it was such a bizarre thing to see.

"It was so weird that I thought I would get my phone out and start recording." James, 35, added: "It looked like the gull was looking for food.

It flew away and then came back at one point.

"There was no blood or anything.

I hope the bird is okay." Concerned members of the public tried to catch the injured gull and take it to a vet to be treated, however, the animal fled on approach.

Social media users have reacted in horror to the incident, describing it as "shockingly cruel" and "disgusting".

The attack has been reported to the RPSCA.
