Class 7 student designs robot for contactless delivery of food, medicines to COVID-19 patients

As health care workers continue to work round the clock selflessly to control the coronavirus spread, organisations as well as individuals are coming up with ideas to mitigate the risk.

In a recent instance, a seventh standard student, Sai Suresh Rangdal, has designed a robot in Aurangabad for contactless delivery of medicine and food to patients.

He said, "The robot is operated by battery and can be controlled by a smartphone.

It can carry items weighing up to 1 kg.

The aim behind designing this robot was to reduce physical contact of medical staff with coronavirus patients and hence reducing their change of contracting COVID-19.
