New York Allows Store Owners to Deny Entry to People Without Masks

New York Allows Store Owners to Deny Entry to People Without Masks Governor Andrew Cuomo's new executive order gives establishment owners permission to issue bans.

Andrew Cuomo, via Twitter Andrew Cuomo, via press briefing New York has been hit the hardest in the U.S. with over 360,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Nearly all of the state has started reopening except for New York City.

Mayor Bill de Blasio says they will likely begin the process within weeks.

According to Cuomo, not enough younger people are wearing masks in public areas.

He partly attributes this to the early and inaccurate thought that COVID-19 poses less of a threat to young people.

Coronavirus can infect people of all ages.

Cuomo has often stressed that masks are critical for protecting and respecting other people.
